This thick, creamy frozen drink is inspired by a classic chocolate frosty but packs extra protein. Similar recipes typically use chocolate protein powder, milk, ice, and cocoa for a rich, frosty texture.
Ingredients (1–2 servings)
- 1 scoop chocolate protein powder
- 1 cup milk (dairy or almond milk)
- 1 frozen banana
- 1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1–2 cups ice cubes
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
- Sweetener to taste (optional)
Instructions
- Add the milk, frozen banana, protein powder, cocoa powder, and vanilla to a blender.
- Blend until smooth.
- Add the ice and blend again until thick and creamy.
- If it’s too thick, add a splash of milk. If it’s too thin, add more ice.
- Serve immediately with a spoon or straw.
Optional Add-Ins
- 1 tablespoon peanut butter
- 1 tablespoon chia seeds
- A handful of frozen cauliflower for extra creaminess without changing the flavor
