Ingredients
:
- 4 medium-sized potatoes (Russet or Yukon Gold are great options)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil (or melted butter)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika (optional, for extra flavor)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley (chopped, for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional, for extra flavor)
- A sprinkle of sea salt (for finishing)
Instructions
:
- Preheat the oven:
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Prepare the potatoes:
- Wash and scrub the potatoes to remove any dirt. Pat them dry with a towel.
- Slice each potato into thin rounds, about 1/4-inch thick. You can leave the skin on for added texture and nutrients, but if you prefer, you can peel the potatoes before slicing.
- Season the potatoes:
- Place the sliced potatoes in a large bowl.
- Drizzle the olive oil (or melted butter) over the potatoes.
- Add garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Toss the slices well to coat them evenly in the oil and seasonings.
- Arrange the slices:
- Lay the seasoned potato slices on a baking sheet in a single layer. You can line the sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat to prevent sticking.
- Bake the potatoes:
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, flipping the slices halfway through, until the potatoes are golden and crispy on the edges.
- Keep an eye on them during the last few minutes to ensure they don’t over-brown.
- Finish and serve:
- Once baked, remove the potatoes from the oven. If desired, sprinkle them with grated Parmesan cheese while they’re still hot for added flavor.
- Garnish with fresh chopped parsley and a light sprinkle of sea salt.
- Enjoy:
- Serve immediately as a delicious side dish or snack!
