Ingredients:
- 5 beef patties (or more for extra indulgence)
- 5-6 slices of cheddar cheese
- 1 sesame seed bun (top and bottom)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional toppings: pickles, onions, lettuce, tomato, ketchup, mustard
Instructions:
- Cook the Patties:
- Season the beef patties with salt and pepper on both sides.
- Heat a grill or pan over medium-high heat and cook the patties to your desired level of doneness.
- For each patty, cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium, or longer for more well-done.
- Add Cheese:
- After cooking each patty, place a slice of cheddar cheese on top and allow it to melt over the hot patty.
- Prepare the Bun:
- Toast the sesame seed bun lightly on the grill or in a pan for a few minutes until golden brown.
- Assemble the Burger:
- Begin with the bottom half of the bun.
- Stack the cooked, cheese-covered beef patties one on top of the other.
- Add any optional toppings you desire.
- Finally, place the top half of the bun over the stack.
