Ingredients:
- 2 cups of powdered malted milk
- 1 ½ cups of powdered sugar
- ½ cup of milk powder
- ½ cup of melted butter
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 1 cup of milk (adjust to your preferred consistency)
- 1 cup of chocolate chips (milk or dark chocolate, based on preference)
Instructions:
- Make the Malt Ball Centers:
- In a large bowl, combine the powdered malted milk, powdered sugar, and milk powder.
- Slowly add in the melted butter and vanilla extract. Mix to combine.
- Gradually pour in the milk, stirring until the mixture forms a dough-like consistency. If it’s too dry, add a little more milk.
- Roll the mixture into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter. Place them on a baking sheet or tray lined with parchment paper.
- Chill in the fridge for at least 30 minutes to firm up.
- Coat with Chocolate:
- Once the malt balls have chilled, melt the chocolate chips in a heatproof bowl using a microwave or double boiler. Stir until smooth.
- Dip each malt ball into the melted chocolate, covering it completely. You can use a fork to help coat each one evenly.
- Place the chocolate-covered balls back on the parchment paper and let them cool to set the chocolate (this can be done by refrigerating them briefly).
- Enjoy!
- Once the chocolate has hardened, your homemade chocolate malt balls are ready to be enjoyed! Store them in an airtight container.
