Ingredients:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley (optional)
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup cold unsalted butter, cubed
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 3/4 cup whole milk
- 2 tablespoons melted butter (for brushing)
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon fresh chopped parsley (for garnish)
Instructions:
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and grease a 9-inch round baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
- Prepare the Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and dried parsley.
- Cut in the Butter: Add the cold cubed butter to the flour mixture. Use a pastry cutter, fork, or your hands to work the butter into the flour until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Add Cheese: Stir in the shredded mozzarella cheese until evenly distributed.
- Add Milk: Pour in the milk and stir until just combined. Do not overmix; the dough should be somewhat sticky.
- Form Biscuits: Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and gently knead it a few times. Pat it into a thick rectangle and cut out biscuits using a round cutter or shape them with your hands into round balls.
- Bake: Arrange the biscuits in the prepared baking pan, allowing them to touch each other. Bake in the preheated oven for 12–15 minutes, or until golden brown on top.
- Add Toppings: As soon as the biscuits come out of the oven, brush them with melted butter and sprinkle with grated parmesan cheese and fresh parsley.
- Serve: Serve hot, and enjoy your cheesy, garlicky goodness!
These biscuits are perfect as a side for any meal, or just on their own with some dipping sauce!
