Cheesy Garlic Biscuits

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley (optional)
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup cold unsalted butter, cubed
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 3/4 cup whole milk
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter (for brushing)
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon fresh chopped parsley (for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and grease a 9-inch round baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare the Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and dried parsley.
  3. Cut in the Butter: Add the cold cubed butter to the flour mixture. Use a pastry cutter, fork, or your hands to work the butter into the flour until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Add Cheese: Stir in the shredded mozzarella cheese until evenly distributed.
  5. Add Milk: Pour in the milk and stir until just combined. Do not overmix; the dough should be somewhat sticky.
  6. Form Biscuits: Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and gently knead it a few times. Pat it into a thick rectangle and cut out biscuits using a round cutter or shape them with your hands into round balls.
  7. Bake: Arrange the biscuits in the prepared baking pan, allowing them to touch each other. Bake in the preheated oven for 12–15 minutes, or until golden brown on top.
  8. Add Toppings: As soon as the biscuits come out of the oven, brush them with melted butter and sprinkle with grated parmesan cheese and fresh parsley.
  9. Serve: Serve hot, and enjoy your cheesy, garlicky goodness!

These biscuits are perfect as a side for any meal, or just on their own with some dipping sauce!
