Soft & Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients (Makes about 24 cookies)

  • 2 ¼ cups (280g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¾ cup (170g) unsalted butter, softened
  • ¾ cup (150g) brown sugar
  • ½ cup (100g) white sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 ½ cups (250g) chocolate chips

👩‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Preheat oven
    180°C (350°F). Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  2. Mix dry ingredients
    In a bowl, combine flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Cream butter & sugars
    Beat butter, brown sugar, and white sugar until light and fluffy (2–3 minutes).
  4. Add eggs & vanilla
    Mix in eggs one at a time, then add vanilla.
  5. Combine
    Gradually add dry ingredients. Do not overmix.
    Fold in chocolate chips.
  6. Chill (Important!)
    Chill dough for 30–60 minutes for thicker, chewier cookies.
  7. Bake
    Scoop dough balls onto tray (leave space).
    Bake 10–12 minutes until edges are golden but center looks slightly soft.
  8. Cool
    Let rest 5 minutes on tray before transferring.
