Ingredients
- 1 large fresh aloe vera leaf
- 1 cup coconut oil (or olive oil)
- Optional: 1 tbsp castor oil (for extra hair growth boost)
Instructions
- Prepare the aloe vera
- Wash the aloe vera leaf well.
- Cut off the edges and slice it open.
- Scoop out the clear gel.
- Cut the gel
- Chop the gel into small cubes.
- Heat the oil
- Pour coconut oil into a pan on low heat.
- Add aloe vera
- Add the aloe vera gel pieces to the oil.
- Simmer on low heat for about 10–15 minutes until the gel turns slightly brown and the oil becomes greenish.
- Cool and strain
- Let the mixture cool completely.
- Strain the oil using a fine sieve or cloth.
- Store
- Pour the oil into a clean glass bottle and store in a cool place.
How to Use
- Apply the oil to your scalp and hair.
- Massage gently for 5 minutes.
- Leave it on for 30 minutes or overnight.
- Wash with a mild shampoo.
