Cinnamon Roll French Toast Bites

Ingredients:

For the Bites:

  • 1 can (8-count) refrigerated cinnamon rolls (with icing included)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk (any kind)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp butter (for the pan)

Optional Toppings:

  • Icing from cinnamon rolls (included in can)
  • Maple syrup
  • Powdered sugar
  • Whipped cream

🔪 Instructions:

  1. Prep the Cinnamon Rolls:
    • Open the cinnamon roll can and separate the rolls.
    • Cut each roll into 6–8 small pieces (bite-sized).
  2. Make the Egg Mixture:
    • In a medium bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and cinnamon.
  3. Soak the Pieces:
    • Add the cinnamon roll pieces into the egg mixture. Stir gently to coat all sides.
    • Let them soak for about 3–5 minutes while heating the pan.
  4. Cook the Bites:
    • Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat and melt the butter.
    • Add the soaked pieces in a single layer. Cook for about 2–3 minutes per side, turning occasionally until golden brown and cooked through.
  5. Warm the Icing:
    • Microwave the included icing for 10–15 seconds to drizzle consistency.
  6. Serve:
    • Drizzle warm icing over the bites.
    • Optionally, top with syrup, powdered sugar, or whipped cream.

💡 Tips:

  • For extra crunch, sprinkle a little brown sugar on them while cooking.
  • Want it extra gooey? Add a bit of cream cheese to the icing.
