Cheesy Biscuits Recipe

These soft, buttery biscuits are filled with gooey melted cheese inside, making them a perfect side dish or snack. Here’s how to make them:

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder (optional for extra flavor)
  • 1/2 cup cold butter (cubed)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or any cheese of your choice)
  • 3/4 cup milk (add more if needed)
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley (for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and garlic powder.
  3. Add the cold cubed butter to the dry ingredients and use a pastry cutter or your fingers to work the butter into the flour until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Stir in the shredded cheese.
  5. Gradually add the milk, mixing gently until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
  6. Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and gently knead a few times to bring it together. Pat the dough into a 1-inch thick rectangle.
  7. Use a round cutter to cut out the biscuits and place them onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  8. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the tops are golden and the biscuits have risen.
  9. Once done, remove from the oven and let cool slightly before cutting into them. You’ll see the melted cheese inside!
  10. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce.

Enjoy your cheesy, buttery biscuits!
