Air Fryer Baked Potatoes Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 4 medium potatoes (Russet potatoes work best)
  • 1-2 tablespoons olive oil (or melted butter)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Garlic powder, onion powder, or herbs (optional, for seasoning)
  • Chopped parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

:

  1. Prep the Potatoes:
    • Wash and scrub the potatoes thoroughly to remove any dirt. Pat them dry with a paper towel.
    • Poke a few holes in each potato using a fork (this helps steam escape while they cook).
  2. Season the Potatoes:
    • Rub each potato with a light coating of olive oil (or melted butter).
    • Sprinkle with salt, pepper, and any other seasonings you prefer (such as garlic powder, onion powder, or dried herbs like rosemary or thyme).
  3. Preheat the Air Fryer:
    • Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3-5 minutes.
  4. Cook the Potatoes:
    • Place the seasoned potatoes in the air fryer basket. Ensure they are not overcrowded for optimal air circulation.
    • Cook at 400°F (200°C) for 35-40 minutes, flipping them halfway through the cooking time.
  5. Check for Doneness:
    • After 35 minutes, check if the potatoes are soft by piercing them with a fork. If it goes through easily, they are done. If not, cook for an additional 5-10 minutes.
  6. Serve:
    • Once cooked, remove the potatoes from the air fryer and let them rest for a few minutes.
    • Cut them open, fluff the inside with a fork, and add toppings like butter, sour cream, cheese, bacon, or fresh herbs.

Tips

:

  • For extra crispy skin: You can rub the potatoes with a little more oil or butter halfway through cooking.
  • Toppings: Customize your baked potatoes with your favorite toppings such as cheese, chives, bacon bits, or a dollop of sour cream.
