Ingredients:
- 1 package (5.1 oz) instant vanilla pudding mix
- 2 cups cold milk
- 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
- 1 container (8 oz) whipped topping (Cool Whip), thawed
- 4-5 ripe bananas, sliced
- 1 package of vanilla wafer cookies
- 1/4 cup mini chocolate chips
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract (optional)
Instructions:
- Prepare the Pudding:
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the instant vanilla pudding mix and cold milk. Stir until it thickens (about 2 minutes).
- Add the sweetened condensed milk and vanilla extract (optional). Mix until fully combined and smooth.
- Gently fold in the whipped topping until it’s evenly mixed, making a creamy pudding mixture.
- Assemble the Trifle:
- In clear cups or a large trifle dish, start by layering some vanilla wafer cookies at the bottom. You can break some cookies to fit them into the cups.
- Add a layer of the banana pudding mixture over the cookies.
- Then, layer some sliced bananas over the pudding.
- Repeat the layers until the cups are full, ending with a layer of pudding on top.
- Top It Off:
- Once your trifle cups are assembled, top them with more sliced bananas.
- Sprinkle mini chocolate chips over the top for a sweet, crunchy touch.
- Optionally, you can add a few extra crushed vanilla wafers on top for texture.
- Chill:
- Refrigerate the banana pudding trifles for at least 2 hours to let the flavors meld together and the layers set.
- Serve:
- Serve chilled, and enjoy a delightful, creamy dessert!
This dessert is quick to prepare, visually impressive, and has a delicious combination of flavors with the bananas, pudding, wafers, and chocolate chips. You can also make it in larger bowls if you prefer!
