Birdie Cake (Bird Seed Cake for Wild Birds)
This is a no-bake suet cake recipe that attracts birds like robins, blue tits, finches, and more.
🧂 Ingredients:
- 250g (1 cup) lard or suet (you can also use coconut oil)
- 300g (1¼ cups) bird seed mix (sunflower seeds, millet, cracked corn, etc.)
- Optional add-ins:
- Chopped nuts (unsalted)
- Oats
- Dried fruits (like raisins or chopped apple – no citrus or avocado)
- Mealworms (dried)
🛠️ Equipment:
- Mixing bowl
- Saucepan
- Moulds (empty yogurt pots, cupcake tins, or cookie cutters)
- String (if hanging)

- Melt the fat
