🧂 Ingredients:
For the Biscuit Layers:

- 1 cup milk (for dipping biscuits)
- Optional: 1–2 tbsp coffee, cocoa, or vanilla extract added to the milk
For the Cream Layer:
- 2 cups full-fat milk
- ¼ cup sugar (adjust to taste)
- 2 tbsp cornflour (cornstarch)
- 1 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 1 egg yolk (optional, adds richness)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ½ cup whipped cream or 1 tbsp butter (for smoothness)
- Optional: a pinch of salt
For the Chocolate Topping:
- 100g dark or milk chocolate, chopped
- ½ cup cream (heavy or whipping cream)
🛠️ Instructions:
1.
Make the Creamy Custard Layer
:
- In a saucepan, mix cornflour, flour, sugar, and egg yolk (if using).
- Gradually add milk, whisking to avoid lumps.
- Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thickened (like a smooth pudding).
- Remove from heat, stir in vanilla and butter or whipped cream. Let it cool slightly.
2.
Layer the Pudding
:
- Dip each biscuit quickly in milk (don’t soak), and layer at the bottom of your serving dish.
- Spread a layer of the warm custard over the biscuits.
- Repeat biscuit + custard layers until you run out. End with a custard layer on top.
3.
Make the Chocolate Ganache Topping
:
- Heat cream just until it simmers, then pour over chopped chocolate.
- Let sit 2 minutes, then stir until smooth.
- Pour over the top custard layer and smooth out.
4.
Chill
:
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, ideally overnight, for best flavor and texture.
🍫 Optional Toppings:
- Grated chocolate or cocoa powder
- Crushed nuts (like pistachios or almonds)
- Fresh berries
- Shaved coconut
- Biscuit crumbs
🍽️ Serving Tips:
- Slice like a lasagna or scoop into bowls.
- Serve chilled.
- Keeps well in the fridge for 3–4 days.
💡 Variations:
- Add a layer of banana slices or strawberries between the cream and biscuits.
- Mix in instant coffee or cocoa powder into the cream for flavor twists.
- Use flavored biscuits (chocolate, cinnamon, etc.) for variety.
