Forget Over-the-Counter Syrups — This Golden Jar Mixture Is Gaining Massive Attention

This homemade honey blend combines lemon, garlic, ginger, cinnamon, and honey into a sweet-and-spicy mixture often used as a comforting home remedy during cold season. While it doesn’t “cure everything,” many people enjoy it for its warming flavor and soothing qualities.

Ingredients

  • 1 lemon, sliced
  • 1 whole garlic bulb, cloves peeled
  • 1 medium ginger root, sliced
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 1 teaspoon whole black peppercorns (optional)
  • 1½ to 2 cups raw honey

Instructions

  1. Wash and dry the lemon and ginger.
  2. Slice the lemon and ginger thinly.
  3. Peel the garlic cloves.
  4. In a clean glass jar, layer:
    • lemon slices
    • garlic
    • ginger
    • cinnamon sticks
    • peppercorns
  5. Pour honey over everything until fully covered.
  6. Use a spoon to remove air bubbles.
  7. Seal the jar and let it sit:
    • 12–24 hours at room temperature
    • then refrigerate for up to 2 weeks.

How to Use

  • Take 1 spoonful as needed.
  • Stir into warm water or tea.
  • Some people also add it to hot lemon drinks.
