Ingredients
Dough (or use store-bought pizza dough):
- 1 lb (450g) pizza dough
Filling:
- 1 cup cooked ground beef or sausage
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- ½ cup cheddar cheese (optional)
- ½ cup cooked bacon pieces (optional but 🔥)
- ½ cup sautéed onions
- ½ cup bell peppers (optional)
- ¼ cup sliced olives or pickles (optional)
- 2–3 tbsp pizza sauce or ketchup/mayo mix
- Salt, pepper, garlic powder to taste
Topping:
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
- ½ cup shredded cheese (for top)
- 1 tbsp parsley (optional)
👩🍳 Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
- Roll out the pizza dough into a large rectangle.
- Spread a thin layer of sauce over the dough.
- Add fillings evenly:
- Meat
- Veggies
- Cheese
- Roll it up tightly like a log (similar to a jelly roll).
- Pinch the edges and seams to seal.
- Place seam-side down on the tray.
- Brush with egg wash and sprinkle cheese on top.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
- Let rest 5–10 minutes, then slice.
🔥 Tips
- Don’t overfill or it may burst while baking.
- Add jalapeños for spice 🌶️
- Serve with marinara, ranch, or garlic sauce.
- You can customize it with literally anything in your fridge → hence “garbage bread” 😄
