Ingredients:
- 1 loaf of crusty bread (like French bread or sourdough)
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 teaspoons fresh thyme (or parsley), finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions:
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Prepare Bread: Cut the loaf of bread into a grid pattern (without cutting all the way through, so it stays intact). Slice both horizontally and vertically to form small squares.
- Melt Butter and Mix: In a small bowl, combine the melted butter with minced garlic, thyme (or parsley), oregano, salt, and pepper.
- Stuff the Bread: Gently pull apart the cuts in the bread and drizzle the garlic butter mixture between the slices. Ensure it gets into all the cracks.
- Add Cheese: Stuff the shredded mozzarella and cheddar cheese into the spaces between the bread pieces, making sure it’s well distributed.
- Wrap and Bake: Wrap the loaf in aluminum foil and bake for about 20 minutes. Then, remove the foil and bake for another 10-15 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Serve: Allow it to cool slightly before serving. Optionally, you can garnish with additional fresh herbs like thyme or parsley. Serve warm!
Enjoy your cheesy, garlicky, and herb-infused pull-apart bread!
