Ingredients
- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 1 lb (450 g) ground beef
- 6 slices cheddar cheese (or 1½ cups shredded cheddar)
- 1 packet onion soup mix
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Grease a baking dish or line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess grease.
- Stir in the onion soup mix and cook for 1–2 more minutes.
- Roll out the puff pastry slightly and cut into rectangles or squares.
- Place half the pastry pieces on the baking dish. Add a spoonful of beef mixture and top with cheese.
- Cover with remaining pastry pieces and press edges lightly to seal.
- Bake for 18–22 minutes, or until puffed and golden brown.
- Let cool a few minutes before serving.

- Diced onions or mushrooms
- Pickles for a cheeseburger flavor
- A dash of garlic powder or Worcestershire sauce
Serve warm with a simple salad, fries, or tomato soup for an easy comfort meal.
