Simple Creamy Dessert

Ingredients

  • 1 liter milk
  • 4 tbsp custard powder (vanilla flavor works best)
  • 4–5 tbsp sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 1 small cup cream (optional, for extra richness)
  • 1–2 tbsp seeds (chia seeds, basil seeds, or raisins)
  • 1 tsp vanilla (optional)

👨‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Prepare custard mix
    • In a bowl, mix custard powder with ½ cup cold milk until smooth (no lumps).
  2. Heat milk
    • Pour the remaining milk into a pot.
    • Add sugar and heat gently.
  3. Thicken
    • Slowly add the custard mixture while stirring constantly.
    • Cook on low heat until it becomes thick and creamy (about 5 minutes).  
  4. Add richness
    • Stir in cream and vanilla for a smoother texture.
  5. Add seeds
    • Mix in soaked seeds (chia or basil seeds work great).
  6. Cool & set
    • Pour into glasses and let it cool.
    • Refrigerate for 1–2 hours until thick and set.

🍽️ Tips

  • Add fruits (banana, apple, mango) for a fruit custard version 🍌🍓
  • For extra thickness, cook a bit longer—custard naturally thickens as it cools  
  • Serve chilled for best taste
