Ingredients
- 2 cans refrigerated crescent roll dough
- 2 large apples (Granny Smith works best), peeled and sliced
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup lemon-lime soda (like Sprite or 7-Up)
Instructions
- Prepare apples
- Peel and cut apples into 8 slices each.
- Wrap apples
- Separate crescent dough into triangles.
- Place an apple slice on each triangle and roll it up.
- Place in slow cooker
- Lightly grease the slow cooker.
- Arrange the wrapped apple dumplings inside.
- Add sugar and soda
- Sprinkle brown sugar evenly over the dumplings.
- Pour the soda around them (not directly on top).
- Cook
- Cook on LOW for 2–3 hours until apples are soft and the sauce becomes syrupy.
Serve
- Spoon some sauce over the dumplings.
- Great with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. 🍨
