Ingredients:
- 1 package (5.1 oz) vanilla instant pudding mix
- 2 cups cold milk
- 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 box of vanilla wafers (about 11 oz)
- 4 ripe bananas, sliced
- Whipped cream or whipped topping (optional)
Instructions:
- Make the Pudding:
- In a large bowl, whisk together the vanilla instant pudding mix, cold milk, and sweetened condensed milk.
- Stir in the vanilla extract and mix until the pudding thickens, about 2 minutes.
- Layer the Pudding:
- In a trifle dish or a 9×13-inch glass dish, layer the bottom with a handful of vanilla wafers.
- Add a layer of banana slices over the wafers.
- Pour a layer of pudding over the bananas, spreading it evenly.
- Repeat the layering process (wafers, bananas, pudding) until all ingredients are used up, ending with a layer of pudding on top.
- Top with Crushed Wafers:
- Crush some additional vanilla wafers and sprinkle them over the top of the pudding for a crunchy, sweet finish.
- Chill:
- Cover and refrigerate the pudding for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight, to allow the flavors to meld together and the dessert to set.
- Serve:
- Optionally, you can top it with whipped cream before serving for extra creaminess.
