Ingredients
For the apples
- 3–4 apples (peeled and sliced)
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
For the batter
- 3 eggs
- 100 g sugar (½ cup)
- 120 ml milk (½ cup)
- 120 g flour (1 cup)
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
Optional topping
- Powdered sugar
Instructions
1. Prepare the apples
- Peel and slice the apples.
- Melt butter in a pan over medium heat.
- Add apples, sugar, and cinnamon.
- Cook for 5–7 minutes until slightly soft and golden.
2. Make the batter
- In a bowl, whisk eggs and sugar until light.
- Add milk and vanilla, mix well.
- Add flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Mix until you get a smooth batter.
3. Assemble
- Place the cooked apples evenly in a greased baking pan.
- Pour the batter over the apples.
4. Bake
- Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 30–35 minutes until golden brown.
5. Finish
- Let it cool slightly.
- Sprinkle powdered sugar on top.
