Ingredients:
- 2 large apples (peeled and chopped)
- 1 cup of sugar
- 1/2 cup of unsalted butter (melted)
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
- 1/2 cup of milk
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Prepare the apples: Peel and chop the apples into small pieces. Set them aside.
- Mix wet ingredients: In a bowl, beat the eggs, sugar, melted butter, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Add dry ingredients: In a separate bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon (if using). Gradually add the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, alternating with the milk. Stir until combined.
- Fold in the apples: Gently fold the chopped apples into the batter, ensuring they’re evenly distributed.
- Bake: Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and smooth the top. Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean from the center.
- Cool and Serve: Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely. Slice and serve!
