Ingredients:
- 4 large potatoes, peeled and cut into fries
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional for garnish)
Instructions:
- Preheat the Oven:
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
- Prepare the Potatoes:
- Peel the potatoes and cut them into thin fries. Try to make them as even as possible so they cook uniformly.
- Place the fries in a large bowl and soak them in water for about 30 minutes to remove excess starch (this will help them get crispier when baked).
- Coat the Fries:
- After soaking, drain the fries and pat them dry with a clean towel.
- Add the olive oil, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, oregano, salt, and black pepper to the fries. Toss them until they’re evenly coated with the oil and seasonings.
- Bake the Fries:
- Spread the seasoned fries in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Make sure they’re not overlapping for even baking.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, flipping the fries halfway through, until they’re golden brown and crispy.
- Garnish and Serve:
- Once baked, remove the fries from the oven. Sprinkle with fresh parsley if desired and serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce.
