Ingredients:
- 1 cup of flour
- 2 tbsp of sugar
- 1 tbsp of baking powder
- 1/2 tsp of salt
- 1 cup of milk
- 1 egg
- 2 tbsp of melted butter
- 1 tsp of vanilla extract
Instructions:
- Mix the dry ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Prepare the wet ingredients: In another bowl, whisk the milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
- Combine wet and dry ingredients: Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix; the batter should be slightly lumpy.
- Cook the pancakes: Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat and lightly grease it with butter or cooking spray. Pour about 1/4 cup of batter onto the skillet for each pancake.
- Flip and serve: Cook until bubbles form on the surface of the pancake, then flip and cook for another minute or two until golden brown. Serve with your favorite toppings!
