Roasted Sweet Potatoes: The Caramelized, Crispy-Edged Side Dish That Steals Every Meal

Ingredients

3–4 medium sweet potatoes, peeled and cut into cubes

3 tbsp olive oil (or melted butter)

2 tbsp honey or maple syrup

1 tsp smoked paprika

1 tsp garlic powder

½ tsp cinnamon (optional but amazing)

Salt & black pepper to taste

Instructions

Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Prepare sweet potatoes: Peel and cut into evenly sized cubes.
Season: In a large bowl, mix sweet potatoes with olive oil, honey, smoked paprika, garlic powder, cinnamon, salt, and pepper.
Spread on tray: Arrange in a single layer (don’t overcrowd or they won’t caramelize).
Roast: Bake for 25–35 minutes, flipping halfway, until edges are deeply caramelized and crispy.
Optional glaze: Drizzle with a tiny bit of honey or butter while hot for extra shine and flavor.
