Ingredients:
- 200g dark chocolate (preferably 70% cocoa for richness and lower sugar content)
- 200ml low-fat whipped cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional for added flavor)
Instructions:
- Melt the Chocolate: Break the dark chocolate into small pieces and melt it in a heatproof bowl over a pot of simmering water (double boiler method) or in the microwave. Stir until smooth.
- Whip the Cream: In a separate bowl, whip the low-fat cream until it forms soft peaks.
- Combine: Once the chocolate has cooled slightly, gently fold in the whipped cream and vanilla extract. Mix until you get a smooth, airy mousse consistency.
- Chill: Spoon the mousse into serving glasses or bowls and refrigerate for at least 2 hours until set.
