Ingredients
- 1 lb (450 g) ground beef
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1 tsp garlic powder (or 2 cloves garlic, minced)
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning (optional)
- 1 cup shredded cheddar or mozzarella cheese
- 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough (8 biscuits)
- 1 tbsp butter, melted
- 1 tbsp parsley (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Cook the meat
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef and chopped onion until browned.
- Drain excess grease.
- Stir in garlic powder, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- Prepare the dough
- Flatten each biscuit into a small circle.
- Fill
- Add a spoonful of the cooked meat mixture to the center of each dough circle.
- Sprinkle cheese on top.
- Roll and place
- Fold or roll the dough around the filling.
- Place seam-side down in a greased muffin tin.
- Add cheese topping
- Sprinkle extra shredded cheese on top.
- Bake
- Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 12–15 minutes, until golden and the cheese is melted.
- Finish
- Brush with melted butter and sprinkle parsley if desired.
