Creamy pineapple dessert: Easy, delicious recipe perfect for Christmas

Ingredients:

  • 1 can (400g) crushed pineapple, drained
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 package (200g) vanilla or sponge cake (or ladyfingers)
  • 1 cup whipped cream (for topping)
  • Ground cinnamon (optional for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Cake Layer:
    • Cut the sponge cake or ladyfingers into small pieces or strips, depending on your preference. Arrange a layer of the cake pieces in the bottom of a serving dish.
  2. Prepare the Pineapple Filling:
    • In a mixing bowl, combine the drained crushed pineapple, heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Stir gently until smooth and well combined.
  3. Layer the Dessert:
    • Pour half of the creamy pineapple mixture over the cake layer in the dish. Spread evenly.
    • Add another layer of cake pieces on top, followed by the remaining pineapple mixture.
  4. Top with Whipped Cream:
    • Spread a layer of whipped cream on top of the pineapple filling. You can use store-bought whipped cream or whip your own from heavy cream and a bit of sugar.
