Ingredients:
- Large marshmallows (as many as you’d like)
- 1 cup pancake mix or all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup milk (adjust as needed)
- 1 egg
- 1 tbsp sugar (optional, for a sweeter batter)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)
- Oil for deep frying (vegetable or canola oil)
- Powdered sugar (for dusting)
- Optional toppings: chocolate sauce, whipped cream, or caramel
🧑🍳 Instructions:
- Prepare the batter:
In a bowl, mix pancake mix (or flour), milk, egg, sugar, and vanilla extract until you have a smooth, thick batter. It should coat the marshmallows well — not too runny. - Heat the oil:
Heat oil in a deep pan or fryer to 350–375°F (175–190°C). - Dip & fry:
Dip each marshmallow fully into the batter, coating evenly.
Carefully place into the hot oil (use a spoon or tongs). Fry 3–5 at a time until golden brown — about 15–30 seconds per side. - Drain & dust:
Remove and place on paper towels to drain excess oil. Dust with powdered sugar while still warm. - Serve:
Stack them up and serve with a dollop of whipped cream or a drizzle of chocolate sauce for the full effect!
