Ingredients
- 3–4 bone-in pork chops (about 1 inch thick)
- Salt & black pepper (to taste)
- 1 tbsp olive oil or butter
🍯 Glaze Sauce
- 3 tbsp honey (or brown sugar)
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard (optional but recommended)
- 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar (or lemon juice)
- ½ tsp paprika
- ½ tsp chili flakes (optional, for heat)
🔥 Instructions
- Season the pork
- Pat pork chops dry.
- Season both sides with salt and pepper.
- Sear
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Cook pork chops for ~4–5 minutes per side until golden brown.
- Remove and set aside.
- Make the glaze
- In the same pan, lower heat to medium.
- Add garlic and sauté briefly (30 seconds).
- Stir in honey, soy sauce, mustard, vinegar, paprika, and chili flakes.
- Let it simmer for 1–2 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Glaze the pork
- Return pork chops to the pan.
- Spoon sauce over them continuously for 3–5 minutes.
- Cook until internal temp reaches 63°C / 145°F.
- Finish
- Let rest for a few minutes.
- Spoon extra glaze on top before serving.
🍽️ Tips
- Use bone-in chops for more flavor and juiciness.
- Don’t overcook—pork dries out quickly.
- Add a knob of butter at the end for extra richness.
