Glazed Pork Chops

Ingredients

  • 3–4 bone-in pork chops (about 1 inch thick)
  • Salt & black pepper (to taste)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil or butter

🍯 Glaze Sauce

  • 3 tbsp honey (or brown sugar)
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard (optional but recommended)
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar (or lemon juice)
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp chili flakes (optional, for heat)

🔥 Instructions

  1. Season the pork
    • Pat pork chops dry.
    • Season both sides with salt and pepper.
  2. Sear
    • Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
    • Cook pork chops for ~4–5 minutes per side until golden brown.
    • Remove and set aside.
  3. Make the glaze
    • In the same pan, lower heat to medium.
    • Add garlic and sauté briefly (30 seconds).
    • Stir in honey, soy sauce, mustard, vinegar, paprika, and chili flakes.
    • Let it simmer for 1–2 minutes until slightly thickened.
  4. Glaze the pork
    • Return pork chops to the pan.
    • Spoon sauce over them continuously for 3–5 minutes.
    • Cook until internal temp reaches 63°C / 145°F.
  5. Finish
    • Let rest for a few minutes.
    • Spoon extra glaze on top before serving.

🍽️ Tips

  • Use bone-in chops for more flavor and juiciness.
  • Don’t overcook—pork dries out quickly.
  • Add a knob of butter at the end for extra richness.
