Pep Dip Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup diced pimentos (drained)
  • 1 tbsp chopped green onions
  • 1-2 tbsp diced jalapeños (optional, for a spicy kick)
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions:

1.

Mix the Cream Cheese Base:

  • In a medium-sized bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and mayonnaise. Use a hand mixer or spoon to blend them together until smooth and creamy.

2.

Add Flavor:

  • Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese, diced pimentos, chopped green onions, and diced jalapeños (if using). The pimentos will add a touch of sweetness, and the jalapeños will give the dip a spicy kick.
  • Add the garlic powder, onion powder, and Worcestershire sauce. Stir until everything is evenly combined.

3.

Season to Taste:

  • Taste the dip and add salt and pepper to your liking. If you like it spicier, you can add more jalapeños or even a dash of hot sauce.

4.

Chill and Serve:

  • Transfer the dip to a serving dish and smooth the top. For best flavor, refrigerate the dip for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld together.
  • Garnish with extra chopped green onions or more diced jalapeños for color and extra flavor if desired.

5.

Enjoy:

  • Serve with your favorite crackers, tortilla chips, or fresh veggies for dipping. Enjoy this creamy and savory treat at your next party, barbecue, or casual get-together!

Tips:

  • Make-Ahead: This dip can be made a day ahead and stored in the refrigerator. The flavors will intensify overnight.
  • Customize: You can adjust the heat level by adding more or less jalapeños or even experimenting with different types of peppers like banana peppers or serrano.
  • Vegetarian Option: This dip is naturally vegetarian, but if you want a meaty version, you can add cooked bacon crumbles or chopped ham for extra flavor.
