Ingredients
For the dough:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp instant yeast
- ¾ cup warm water
- 1 tbsp olive oil
For the filling:
- 3 medium potatoes, boiled and mashed
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp chopped parsley
- Salt & pepper to taste
- Optional: grated cheese (mozzarella or cheddar)
For frying:
- Oil for deep frying
👩🍳 Instructions
1. Make the dough
- In a bowl, mix flour, salt, sugar, and yeast.
- Add warm water and olive oil.
- Knead until smooth and soft (about 8–10 minutes).
- Cover and let rise for 1 hour (until doubled in size).
2. Prepare the filling
- In a pan, melt butter and sauté garlic until fragrant.
- Add mashed potatoes, parsley, salt, and pepper.
- Mix well and let cool.
- (Optional: mix in cheese for extra flavor)
3. Assemble
- Roll out the dough into a thin sheet.
- Cut into small squares.
- Place a small spoon of filling in the center of each.
- Fold or seal edges (or sandwich with another square).
4. Fry
- Heat oil over medium heat.
- Fry in batches until golden brown and crispy (2–3 minutes per side).
- Remove and drain on paper towels.
