HONEY-GLAZED BABY CARROTS

Ingredients

  • 1 lb baby carrots
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar (optional, for extra glaze)
  • 1 tsp lemon juice (optional)
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook the carrots
    Place baby carrots in a pot and cover with water. Bring to a boil and cook for 8–10 minutes until tender. Drain well.
  2. Make the glaze
    In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter.
  3. Add honey and seasoning
    Stir in honey, salt, pepper, and brown sugar if using. Let it simmer for about 1–2 minutes.
  4. Coat the carrots
    Add the cooked carrots to the skillet and toss until they are fully coated in the glaze.
  5. Caramelize slightly
    Cook another 3–5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the glaze thickens and the carrots look shiny.
  6. Finish
    Add lemon juice if desired and garnish with parsley.

🍽️ Tips

  • For deeper flavor, sauté a little minced garlic with the butter.
  • You can also roast the carrots at 400°F (200°C) for 20 minutes before glazing for a richer taste.
